I was just turning 21 years old when I arrived at Gary Job Corps. Did not think much of the place as being haunted, until the staff and students began ranting on about strange events. Intrigued by everyone’s stories and personal experiences, I decided to see what I could dig up on the facility. Upon hours and hours of research, not much came up to my surprise other than what the facility was used for. During World War two this trade school was an air base, which would explain the airport next door, guard towers and just the massive size of the campus. I also found out that the base was used as a helicopter training facility during the Vietnam War. Reagan himself decided to turn this old base into a trade school, which started a chain of Job Corp trade schools around the United States.
About 3 months into the program I finally moved into the adult dorms, where I met two peculiar but great friends. Their names are David Hall and Nick Dial, David was into the black arts and Nick was a Wiccan. These two people played a vital role when things started to go bump in the night. Our dorms were located in a paranormal triangle, first my trade building, second the hilltop dorms and third the pool hall. The activity that involves this place is demonic entities, Electronic Voice Phenomenon, Physical interaction, Poltergeist’s, Disembodied Voices, visual shadows, apparitions and balls of light.Oh and I almost forgot the possibility of possession. Remember when I said that my two friends play a vital role? Well we teamed up and did a investigation, unfortunately for us we were ill prepared for what was about to take place for the next 2 months. Each one of us brought home a few new friends that night. Me in particular, was visited and tormented by three spirits. I was not sure if they were demonic, malicious or wanting to just communicate.
The activity varied; sometimes I would be woken up by my bed violently being shaken. Other times I would feel like someone is holding me down and putting pressure on my chest. I would see shadows moving about in my room and one in particular scared me so much that I didn’t sleep for three days. Every time I went past my dorm window I would get an eerie feeling that something was not right in there and I would not go in my room unless someone came with me! Sounds like my childhood, eventually I decided I had enough when I woke up in the middle of the night with a long scratch down my spine. At this point I was not scared anymore, just pissed. We had a chapel on campus, so I went to our Campus priest and had him cleanse the room inside and out. Eventually whatever was in my room thankfully dissipated. A lesson was learned by all this, never try to contact the dead unless you know what you are doing. You never know what awaits you.
This Playlist is a compilation of all Evp's captured by me and my friends during investigations of these locations in the year of 2007.
